Leadership

Tandin Dorji

Founder and Director, EducationPro Group Pty Ltd, and CEO, Kingston International College.

From humble beginnings in rural Bhutan, Mr. Tandin Dorji arrived in Western Australia in 2013 as an international student. He went on to build one of the most visible Bhutan-linked education service operations in WA through disciplined execution, market insight, and long-term partnerships.

He founded EducationPro Group Pty Ltd in 2019 as a purpose-driven migration and education services business, focused on accessible guidance and high-quality student outcomes. The group now operates across seven offices in Perth, Thimphu, Kuala Lumpur, York, Hanoi, Seoul, and New York, and was built primarily through reinvestment and self-funded growth.

In December 2024, he acquired 100% ownership of Kingston International College (KIC) and led a turnaround strategy including course redesign and KIC's first university articulation agreement in 23 years.

  • Loyalty and integrity: long-term trust with students, institutions, and partners.
  • Helping others succeed: scholarships and capability-building for students and staff.
  • Persistence through adversity: investing in long-term systems even during uncertain market cycles.

Setback and turnaround

During tighter visa settings and post-COVID uncertainty, KIC faced low enrolments, outdated courses, and workforce pressure. Mr. Dorji's response was to retire unmarketable programmes, invest in demand-led courses, and retain quality trainers while rebuilding.

The result was a stronger academic portfolio, workforce stability, and a pathway agreement with Murdoch University, positioning KIC for growth instead of short-term survival.
